Title: Meet the Buyer: Wates Construction Ltd
Date: Tuesday 24th June 2014
Location: Liberty Stadium, Swansea. SA1 2FA
Time: 8am-11am
Cost: Free

Business Wales, in collaboration with Wates Construction Ltd, would like to invite you to attend one of the above meet the buyer events.  This is an opportunity for small and medium sized businesses within South Wales to learn of upcoming opportunities to provide goods, works and services to Wates Living Space.

Wates Living Space is part of the family-owned Wates Group that has been operating in the construction services sector since 1897. Wates Living Space is a significant partner for a number of local authorities and social landlords within and around South Wales. They have been operating in Wales since 1976, and with a Welsh Head Office based in St Fagans, Cardiff.

Wates are looking to develop their local SME supply chain in the South Wales area and are on course to securing circa £20m of works in Swansea, Port Talbot, Bridgend and Cardiff in the Housing sector.

The intention is to keep these events as informal as possible. There will be initial presentations to run through the background and potential future opportunities, before opening up to an informal networking session where there will be an opportunity for suppliers to speak face to face with a number of representatives from Wates Construction and other related top tier contractors. Please note, no individual time slots will be allocated, instead there will be a number of exhibition stands located around the room.

8:00 – 08:30 Registration, tea/coffee & bacon rolls
8:30 – 10:00 Welcome and Introductions, followed by presentations by Wates and Business Wales
10:00 – 11:00 Breakout to exhibition stands – opportunity to network with representatives from Wates
