CEW's North Wales Best Practice Club

The North Wales Best Practice Club is already looking forward to 2016, led by its new chair Chris Davies, a director of project management at Caulmert.

Chris has worked in the industry for more than 25 years on both the client side and service side of things across the private and public sector. Backed up by his vice-chair, Chris Wynne of Wynne Construction the plans for the North Wales Club are to build on the hard work in 2015 by the outgoing Chair, Gwyndaf Williams (Advent) and Vice Chair Huw Williams (YGC), who have supported the club over the last few years. Thankfully both are remaining active members of the steering group and will be sharing their knowledge and experience as the club moves forward.

We have also said goodbye to Andy Smith (formally FCC). Thanks to Andy, we wish him all the best in his retirement. FCC will continue to support the club through Ian Edwards who is also a steering group member.

The final event of 2015 will take place on Tuesday 8th December and it is an exciting one with national profile. Colleagues and stakeholders from the industry are invited to visit the Pwllheli Sailing Academy where the project team will be showcasing the story behind the development of the Welsh National Sailing Academy & Events Centre.

This event at Pwllheli is almost a starting point for 2016 as the focus will be on maintaining the breakfast club events and exemplar programme; whilst improving the offering to and engagement with members, increasing membership and raising the profile and presence of the club in North Wales. For the breakfast events it is proposed to continue with the current early start format which enables delegates to attend whilst being able to return to work at an appropriate time. We are proposing to hold an event every 2 months.

To book a place at this event or to become a member of the club please contact the CEW team – call 02920 493322 or email CEWales
