VAT isn’t the sexiest subject in the world but get it right and you could get so much more from your investment in construction projects. Get it wrong and you could end up badly out of pocket – or worse!

This event is a must for anyone funding, promoting, delivering or operating construction assets from small community centres to major infrastructure projects whether they be in the public, private or third sectors.

The scariest thing about this issue is that most people have no idea that they’re exposed to the potential problems. This is your chance to become aware.

What’s it all about? The aim of this event is to improve awareness and understanding of VAT implications associated with development projects especially where different project partners operate under different VAT recovery rules and to equip participants to ask the right questions and get the right advice at the early planning stage of a project. This can save time and money and reduce the risk of challenge from HMRC. These are all factors which help make bids more viable and speed up the development process.

1.       Clients & Private developers – create additional capital to maximise capital programme investment, make the project viable, identify VAT impact areas such as Capital Goods Scheme items     and Change of Use concerns

2.       Main Contractors – add value to bids; reduce your risk of VAT exposure, set corporate structures in place in timely manner to maximise VAT advantages, enhance your scheme offering to clients

3.       Supply chain – identify the most effective VAT contractual routes ie “who supplies what, to whom”

4.       Consultants – lead your clients to address issues of VAT concern earlier in the process.

Non-attendance by any registered delegate will be charged in full if you are not a member or £20 if you are a member unless you have informed us by Monday 25th November 2013.

We confirm numbers to the venue the day before the event and as numbers cannot be amended after that date we are charged in full for that amount. In order to reduce wastage at our events CEW operates a policy of only notifying venue details when issuing registration confirmation. This ensures we only cater for delegates who have registered and don’t over order for individuals who may or may not turn up on the day.

Pwy ddylai ddod, a pham?  

1. Cleientau a Datblygwyr Preifat – creu arian ychwanegol i’w fuddsoddi mewn rhaglenni cyfalaf, gwneud prosiectau’n hyfyw, adnabod cymhlethdodau TAW, e.e. eitemau Cynllun Nwyddau Cyfalaf (Capital Goods Scheme) ac ystyriaethau Newid Defnydd.

2. Prif Gontractwyr – ychwanegu gwerth at eich cynigion, gwneud eich hun yn llai agored i broblemau TAW, sefydlu strwythurau corfforaethol mewn da bryd i gael y manteision TAW mwyaf, gwneud eich cynlluniau’n fwy deniadol i gleientau

3. Y Gadwyn Gyflenwi – adnabod y llwybrau cytundebol gorau o safbwynt gofynion TAW - hynny yw “pwy sy’n cyflenwi beth, ac i bwy”

4. Ymgynghorwyr – arwain eich cleientau i ddelio â’r gofynion TAW yn gynt yn y broses.
