Climate Change Commission for Wales
The WLZCH represents the built environment sector at the commission. The Climate Change Commission for Wales brings together key sectors and organisations across Wales to build agreement on the action needed to tackle climate change in Wales. Members of the Commission represent a wide range of political, business, local authority, third sector and other organisations. G4C Wales Christmas Charity Quiz
G4C Wales and CIOB Novus Wales held a joint Christmas Charity Quiz on Thursday 4th December in Cardiff and they raised over £500 for charity.
The nominated charity this year is Orkidstudio. Founded in 2008, Orkidstudio is a humanitarian design organisation whose focus is to benefit children and communities through innovative design and construction. For more information, please visit their website.
Green Deal Home Improvement Fund
The Green Deal Home Improvement Fund reopened this Wednesday 10th December. Domestic energy customers looking to carry out energy efficiency works to their home could receive: - up to £4000 for installing solid wall insulation (up to 67% of the installation cost)
- up to £1000 for installing two measures from the approved list of measures
- up to £100 refunded for their Green Deal Assessment (only if measures are installed)
- up to £500 more if applying within 12 months of buying a new home (only if measures are installed)
