Save the date: LENDERS Project - (morning event) 26th April 2016 / Cardiff

Join us next month for a morning event on the 26th April to find out more about the LENDERS project, a collaboration of mortgage lenders, building industry experts, and sustainability bodies who have all joined forces to launch research into how to build a stronger link between energy costs, affordability and mortgage borrowing.

LENDERS will expand the datasets and explore the findings of our EPCs & Mortgages report which started to demonstrate a link between fuel affordability and mortgage lending.

The new LENDERS research will test the use of EPC data in estimating energy costs on individual homes and look at the potential to incorporate a more accurate estimate into the mortgage affordability calculation.  In turn, this may help encourage buyers towards homes with lower energy bills, and increase their willingness to invest in improving energy efficiency. Join us at for this morning seminar to find out more about the project and how your organisation could contribute.

Supported and part funded by Innovate UK, the research draws on the expertise of diverse groups with green credentials, including Nationwide, Principality Building Society, BRE, Constructing Excellence in Wales, UK Green Building Council, Zero Carbon Hub, Energy Saving Trust, Arup and University College London (UCL).

How to Book: To reserve your place please email CEWales Events stating your full contact details and the names of all delegates wishing to attend.
