Are Ready for 2016 CEW Awards?

Wales has one of the strongest and most dynamic construction communities in the UK and our CEW Awards is proof of this – are you ready to enter?

Competition for the CEW Awards is always tough because the industry wants to showcase its talent at the premier ceremony – so now is the time to get ready. The call for entries is being made…SOON!

Entries open on 14th December officially, but now is the chance to prepare. Every year we receive more entrants and despite the difficult operating environment facing the industry in recent years, each year the standard increases.  So, we’re challenging the Welsh engineers, designers, builders and everyone else in the supply chain to step up.

Each category gives an opportunity for every part of the Welsh built environment to demonstrate their achievements and promote the ideals of collaborative working and best practice.  You can get a flavour of this from the quality of the CEW Awards in June this year.

Milica Kitson, Chief Executive of Constructing Excellence in Wales said:  “Every time we hold the CEW Awards the industry as a whole is the winner.  The winners on the night are the best of the best, proof that the collaborative approach to the procurement and management of projects delivers outstanding performance and results every time.  But the Awards are also a great celebration for everyone in the built environment and a chance to applaud our achievements and talent. So, if you think you are innovative, can prove your projects are contributing to local communities and meet targets on carbon waste we want to hear from you.

Further information is available on our  Awards page and entries will close on 29th February 2016 but full details will be avaialbe on the 14th December.

Sustain Wales: Sustainable Development Awards

Sustain Wales is harnessing the fantastic work being down across the country by designers, builders, developers, schools, hospitals and communities to provide the country with a more sustainable environment

This year they launched the first Sustain Wales Awards to celebrate the fantastic work that individuals and organisations are achieving under the umbrella of sustainable development. They received over 60 applications from across the eight categories, and their expert judging panel selected 26 inspirational applications for the shortlist.

The winners are selected by a public vote that took place between 4th September – 9th October (with nearly 5000 votes) and the eight category winners will be announced at the Sustain Wales Awards at the Wales Millennium Centre in Cardiff on 19 November, between 6.30 and 8.30pm.

Why not join Sustain Wales and other likeminded people for an evening of inspiration and celebration at a green carpet Awards Evening Ceremony at the Wales Millennium Centre in Cardiff Bay. Ticket includes drinks, nibbles and networking. Tickets are £20 for Cynnal Cymru members and £25 for Non-members. Book now
