Title:  Wind Energy Project - Pen y Cymodd
Date: Friday 10th July 2015
Location: Hirwaun
Time: 8.30am to approximately midday
Cost: Free

Pen y Cymodd Wind Energy Project is a 76 turbine development located on land managed by Natural Resources Wales within Rhondda Cynon Taf and Neath Port Talbot. The development is the largest onshore wind farm in England and Wales. Once operational the project will generate enough electricity to meet the domestic need of 140,000 homes per annum.

Once operational the project will provide a Community Fund of £1.8 million per annum for more than 20 years. More than 3000 residents of the upper Rhondda, Cynon, Afan and Neath Valleys had their say on what they think the money could do in the area. There is huge potential within all the ideas that have come in – developing the possibilities so they can deliver maximum benefit is the next task for the community.

The event will consist of a presentation from the team followed by a tour of the project. Places are limited and will be booked on a first come first served basis.

How to Book: To reserve your place please email CEWales Events stating your full contact details and the names of all delegates wishing to attend. Substitution of delegates can be made at any time.

Non-attendance by any registered delegate will be charged £30 unless you have informed us prior to the event.
