CEW’s Exemplar programme is all about improvement, identifying and evidencing good practice and sharing it across the industry.

Flintshire County Council’s School Modernisation Strategy, published in 2009, places special emphasis on community focused schools provision. These buildings expand the range of activities that take place in a school as they seek to provide a range of services and activities, often beyond the school day, to help meet the needs of pupils, their families and the wider community. This principle underpins the provision of Ty Ffynnon and the vision for the 360 pupil school is that, working with local partners, the school can help to develop the community it serves.

Through a combination of collaborative procurement processes and a proactive, client focused approach from the delivery team this project is addressing, one of the main issues facing the construction industry at the present time, namely the application of BIM and, in this case, how locally based SMEs are responding to the challenges of implementation – and showing what can be done by relatively small organisations.

Clearly BIM is also of significant interest to the wider construction industry and this particular project demonstrates how the BIM approach supports better project delivery, efficient management of project changes, cost reduction and better performance of the asset. The outputs of this project also supported the work of CEW and the Consortium of Local Authorities Wales (CLAW) in developing a BIM toolkit for public sector clients in Wales.

Why should you attend?

If you’re involved in, or are likely to be involved with similar scale projects or schemes which seek to apply BIM then you need to hear directly from the team involved and their client and apply the lessons they learned to your own projects.

How to Book: This event is free of charge but you must register in advance. To reserve your place please email CEWales Events stating your full contact details and the names of all delegates wishing to attend. Substitution of delegates can be made at any time.

Non-attendance by any registered delegate will be charged £20 plus VAT unless you have informed us prior to the date.

In order to reduce wastage at our events CEW operates a policy of only notifying venue details when issuing registration confirmation. This ensures we only cater for delegates who have registered and don’t over order for individuals who may or may not turn up on the day.

Teitl: Mae prosiect Exemplar - Ysgol Gynradd Tŷ Ffynnon, Shotton – defnyddio’r dull Modelu Gwybodaeth Adeiladu (BIM) gan fusnesau bach a chanolig (SME) ar brosiectau bach
Dyddiad: Dydd Llun 13 Gorfannan
Lleoliad: Shotton
Amser: 3.30pm - 6pm
Cost: Am ddim

Mae Strategaeth Foderneiddio Ysgolion Sir y Fflint, a gyhoeddwyd yn 2009, yn rhoi ffocws arbennig ar anghenion y gymuned wrth ddarparu ysgolion. Y nod yw ehangu’r ddarpariaeth a geir mewn ysgolion trwy gynnig amrediad o wasanaethau a gweithgareddau, yn aml tu hwnt i’r diwrnod ysgol arferol, i gwrdd ag anghenion disgyblion, eu teuluoedd a’r gymuned ehangach. Yr egwyddor hon sydd ar waith yn Nhŷ Ffynnon a gweledigaeth yr ysgol 360 disgybl, law yn llaw â phartneriaid lleol, yw helpu i ddatblygu’r gymuned a wasanaetha.

Drwy gyfuniad o gaffael cydweithredol a gweithredu’n rhagweithiol gyda ffocws ar y cwsmer gan dîm y cynllun, mae’r prosiect hwn yn ymateb i un o brif sialensiau presennol y diwydiant adeiladu – sef gweithredu technegau BIM. Mae’r cynllun hwn hefyd yn dangos sut mae cwmnïau bach a chanolig lleol yn ymateb i’r heriau ymarferol, a chymaint y gellir ei gyflawni gan gyrff cymharol fach.

Mae BIM yn bwysig i bawb sy’n gweithredu yn y diwydiant adeiladu ac mae’r prosiect yma’n dangos sut y gall y broses BIM gefnogi canlyniadau gwell, rheoli newidiadau yn effeithlon, lleihau costau a gwella perfformiad yr ased. Mae canlyniadau’r prosiect hefyd wedi cefnogi gwaith CEW a Chonsortiwm Awdurdodau Lleol Cymru (CLAW) yn datblygu pecyn cymorth ymarferol i gleientiaid sector cyhoeddus yng Nghymru.

Sut i archebu lle: Mae'r digwyddiad hwn yn rhad ac am ddim, ond rhaid i chi gofrestru o flaen llaw. Gyrrwch ebost at CEWales Digwyddiadau gan nodi eich manylion cyswllt yn llawn ac enwi pawb sy’n dymuno mynychu. Gallwch newid eich cynrychiolydd ar unrhyw adeg.

Bydd diffyg presenoldeb gan unrhyw cynrychiolydd cofrestredig yn gorfod talu £20 a TAW oni bai eich bod wedi rhoi gwybod inni cyn y digwyddiad.

Er mwyn lleihau gwastraff yn ein digwyddiadau, mae CEW yn gweithredu polisi o gadarnhau manylion y lleoliad ar ôl cofrestru’n unig. Bydd hyn yn sicrhau mai dim ond ar gyfer y rhai sydd wedi cofrestru y byddwn yn darparu ac nad ydym yn gor-archebu ar gyfer unigolion a allasai ddod heb archebu lle, neu rai nad ydynt yn.
