Rhyl based specialist surface coatings company, Coatech Limited is the latest participant to join the Constructing Excellence in Wales - Enabling Zero Waste scheme.

The aim of Enabling Zero Waste is to encourage construction companies to generate less waste, reuse materials and use more recycled content and to establish if, and how, the construction industry can achieve the overarching strategy for waste in Wales of zero waste to landfill. 

Established in 1987, Coatech is a family run business and has recently been awarded a contract to work with principal contractor Dawnus providing specialist application of resin flooring systems for the public realm works resurfacing the promenade and sea defences at Rhyl seafront.  The regeneration works also propose the development of an exhibition facility, apartments, new hotels and restaurants. 

Coatech are keen to employ cutting-edge waste management techniques at the scheme reducing the wastes of plastic and metal containers, pallets and waste aggregate.
