The CEW waste programme has always had a fundamental goal which is to provide solutions to make life easier for the construction industry to achieve targets for recovery and recycling; the Green Compass Scheme, the RAMS specification and the Surplus Centre are examples of our initiatives.
Sometimes we find that one of our ideas suddenly pops up perhaps in a slightly different form from another source. We are not precious about our ideas and we are delighted that our plan to have waste depositories at builders merchants (TWBS) has been beaten to the finishing line by Cardiff City Council’s new initiative at Bessemer Close.
Well done Cardiff – we hope it proves a great success.
