CDM 2015: A significant change or more red tape?

On 6 April 2015 the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015 (CDM 2015) will come into force replacing the CDM 2007 obligations. The introduction of CDM 2015 is the latest quest for a consistent approach to health and safety management in the construction industry.

The new regulations need to be on your radar if you are in any way involved in construction projects.

We will examine whether CDM 2015 will significantly change the current approach to managing projects and result in a fundamental shift in the attitudes and methodology applied to health and safety issues affecting projects.

We will also look at the following issues:
  • No more CDM Co-ordinator
  • Enhanced mandatory Client requirements
  • Changes to the notification requirements
  • Transitional arrangements
  • Contractual changes required

The briefing takes place on Monday 13th April at Capital Building, Tyndall Street, Cardiff,Registration is at 7.30am, with the session starting at 8am and finishing at 9am. Refreshments will be provided and attendance is free, but must be booked in advance.
