Constructing Excellence in Wales continues to work with new house builders across Wales. We remain determined to see that best practice continues to be adopted and are delighted to be hosting this workshop bringing new resources to support the industry.
Hear from the authors of two new publications, one on costing energy efficient homes from planning through to handover. The second publication provides case study feedback on ventilation systems in new homes. Presentations will introduce the two publications and provide delegates with an opportunity for discussions with the speakers.
The “cost efficiency guide” provides a step-by-step guide for SME housebuilders on building energy efficient homes cost effectively.
The “ventilation in new homes” publication presents a reflection on the ventilation systems currently being installed in new homes. The team visited 33 dwellings across 6 construction sites in 2015 to see how effectively their mechanical ventilation systems were designed, installed, commissioned and handed over to occupants. The publication is intended for organisations with an interest in quality assuring the delivery of ventilation systems, including clients, developers and their advisers.
A third presentation will then outline the NHBC’s ‘Construction Quality Review’ initiative.

Mae Adeiladu Arbenigrwydd yng Nghymru (CEW) yn parhau i weithio gydag adeiladwyr tai newydd ym mhob rhan o Gymru gyda’r nod o ledaenu a mabwysiadu’r arferion gorau. Pleser mawr inni felly yw trefnu’r gweithdy hwn i drafod adnoddau newydd a fydd yn cefnogi’r diwydiant.
Cewch glywed oddi wrth awduron dau gyhoeddiad newydd. Mae’r cyntaf yn ymwneud â mesur y gost o ddarparu tai ynni effeithiol o’r cyfnod dylunio hyd at eu trosglwyddo i’w preswyliwr. Mae’r ail yn adrodd ar astudiaeth achos yn ymwneud â gosod systemau awyru mewn tai newydd. Wedi clywed y ddau gyflwyniad, bydd cyfle i’w trafod gyda’r siaradwyr.
Mae’r canllaw “Cost Efficiency Guide” yn dweud gam wrth gam sut y gall cwmnïau adeiladau bach a chanolig (SME) godi tai ynni effeithlon yn effeithiol.
Mae’r cyhoeddiad “Ventilation in New Homes” yn trafod y systemau awyru a osodir ar hyn o bryd mewn tai newydd. Ymwelodd y tîm â 33 o dai ar 6 safle adeiladu yn 2015 i weld pa mor effeithiol y cafodd eu systemau awyru eu dylunio, eu gosod, eu comisiynu a’u trosglwyddo i’r preswylwyr. Bydd y cyhoeddiad o gymorth i sefydliadau sy’n awyddus i sicrhau ansawdd wrth ddarparu systemau awyru, yn cynnwys cleientiaid, datblygwyr a’r rhai sy’n eu cynghori.
Yn y gweithdy hefyd bydd trydydd cyflwyniad ynglŷn ag ymgyrch “Construction Quality Review” yr NHBC.
