Don’t miss the Retrofit Roadshow taking place at City Hall in Cardiff on 17 September as all the retrofit leaders from across Wales will be there. The Roadshow - targeted at the supply chain, public sector and property owners – will explore how we can improve the energy efficiency of every home and business in the country.

The Welsh Assembly Government (WAG) predicts that around £1bn over the next decade is likely to be invested in improving the energy efficiency of Welsh homes. Already a series of dynamic retrofit initiatives have emerged most notably the Arbed Programme, which has seen £68 million spent on retrofitting 7500 domestic properties across the nation. Arbed will continue to fund 10-20 schemes per year up to 2015. Furthermore as the public sector accounts for around 60% of construction projects in Wales, WAG has launched a procurement strategy which aims to improve the way that public construction projects are procured in Wales.

The event will explore the domestic and non-domestic challenges and opportunities by addressing:

• The business case for retrofits
• How Wales is meeting the retrofit challenge
• Latest carbon reduction technology
• Funding mechanisms and legal issues
• Pilot scheme learning and innovation
• Delivery of retrofit activity at scale
• Skills and training
• Business opportunities for the Welsh supply chain

These one day events will be packed with presentations, workshops and retrofit clinics with time set aside to network, plus a comprehensive exhibition of retrofit technologies. Key note speakers include:
