Glenigan Data Points to Steady Rise In Welsh Construction Deals

Glenigan data published in Construction News last week (31 October) claimed that total deals among the top 10 contractors in Wales grew for the second consecutive period as annual figures in Scotland and Northern Ireland dipped.

In a second consecutive period of growth in Wales for 12 months to September total deals among the top 10 contractors grew by 6.1% on the 12 months to August to hit £556.8m. Interserve stayed in first place – sealing eight deals and work valued at £109.8m. The league table covers a mix of projects, but equates to solid activity levels across the Welsh built environment and indicates work right across the supply chain. It appears to back up the general mood of optimism around the industry right now.
