Fabric First

Interested in low cost, low carbon construction?

As the construction industry continues to look for affordable, energy efficient solutions, a Fabric First approach to building design is key to the delivery of low cost, low carbon construction.

We are fortunate to have many renowned speakers at the event, including a keynote by Francois Samuel, Head of Building Regulations for the Welsh Government. We will also be joined by Rob Pannell, an internationally recognised expert in zero carbon construction.

There will also be a number of Fabric First case studies from a range of recent construction projects, including St. Fagan’s National History Museum in Cardiff. Guest speakers will also be taking questions at the close of each session.

The conference is a great opportunity to learn about our Fabric First ethos and the many practical advantages of timber frame.

The event is open to all professionals interested in modern energy efficient construction, including architects, engineers, QS’s, contractors, housebuilders and STA members.
