Welcome to our Weekly E-Bulletin

Wales has its own specific built environment problems to overcome and one is the amount of homes that are off the main gas mains, or in the case of Maes yr Onn Farm, off the grid altogether.

We also have the most terraced homes in the UK and a large proposition of solid wall homes – all of which demand particular care in the energy improvement process and a close monitoring and assessment of the materials being installed. That is why the work of the Wales Low Zero Carbon Hub is such an important aspect of CEW’s operations.

All of what we champion in terms of best practice, collaborative procurement and team working is linked to economic, social and environmental sustainability. It is why events such as the Farming Connect event to be held at Maes yr Onn Farm in June and our Demonstration and Exemplar events are so important because to encourage the best practice needed to achieve these breakthroughs and ground breaking projects we have to share the learning from them. Maes yr Onn Farm is a great example of partnership; how a collaborative approach can design, plan and then build and assess a new system that could have huge benefits for Wales.

Register your interest to visit the Maes yr Onn site with CEWales.

What’s more attending CEWales events is not just about learning; it is also about professional development. We are all learning all of the time, but just by coming along to a CEW event you can gain CPD points because CEW is CPD certified. So, come along, absorb the learning being shared and improve your career prospects at the same time.
