Are you all set for an award winning 2015?

The festive season might be behind us, but now it is time to look forward to celebrating all of the great things going on within Welsh construction by taking part in the 2015 CEW Awards. This year our awards are a few weeks early and so we’re making no excuses for reminding you to start thinking about your entries now and submitting them by 23rd February 2015.

We have brought our awards forward by three weeks to make room for the opening England v Australia game of the Ashes. That means we need your award entries a few weeks earlier as well. Whilst the format for entries is slightly different the categories remain the same as last year and are now consistent right across the Constructing Excellence movement –

  • Leadership & People Development
  • Integration & Collaborative Working
  • Sustainability Award – Our Legacy
  • Value Award
  • Innovation Award
  • Health & Safety Award
  • The Achiever’s Award
  • SME of the Year
  • Client of the Year
  • Project of the Year
  • Young Achiever of the Year

This year there is a separate entry form for each category, in recent years we have only produced one entry form. Each category has a different form process to follow – you must make certain you have read each form before you begin completing the entry to give yourself the best possible chance of sending us a winning application. Please check how you will tailor your words to fit the different category requirements. It is now not good enough to cut and paste the same text in the new entry format. Double check what is needed to win each category and if in doubt call the CEW Awards team. Make sure you focus on the core elements of what makes best practice in Welsh construction nowadays. The approach to the SME award category is slightly different too. This year the SME entry form is broken down into different sections – so again read it carefully before you begin completing the entry form. And don’t forget – it is compulsory to nominate an SME with every entry you submit.

The same qualities will mark out the winners of our 2015 awards as in previous years, so if you want to check the standards to aim for, then do please re-visit the case studies of our winners from past events by going to the CEW site and the awards section.
