Further to the launch of this new industry Task Group (see details of original flyer below) which took place on 7th September in Cardiff, we are pleased to announce that a workshop has been arranged for Llandudno on the 5th October 2017.
As with previous CEW Task Groups, this is a cross Wales, cross sector, cross body/organisation piece of work. These further workshops will give those of you who were unable to attend in Cardiff, the opportunity to build on the 7th September workshop outputs.

Constructing Excellence in Wales is funded by Welsh Government to improve working practices in the construction industry throughout Wales. The terms and conditions of our Grant require us to operate Task and Finish Groups on relevant industry topics as and when required.
We believe a Construction Strategy for Wales is long overdue. In England we have Construction 2025 and, more recently, Government Construction Strategy 2016 – 20. Much of that document would apply in Wales but we do now have our own Welsh legislation in the form of the Environment (Wales) Act 2016 and the Wellbeing of Future Generations (Wales) Act 2015. These two pieces of legislation alone will have a significant impact on the industry in Wales.

Caiff Adeiladu Arbenigrwydd yng Nghymru (CEW) ei ariannu gan Lywodraeth Cymru i wella arferion gwaith y diwydiant adeiladu ym mhob rhan o Gymru. Un o amodau ein Grant yw ein bod yn cynnal Grwpiau Tasg a Gorffen ar bynciau perthnasol i’r diwydiant yn ôl y galw.
Credwn ei bod yn hen bryd cael Strategaeth Adeiladu i Gymru. Mae Construction 2015 yn bodoli yn Lloegr, ac yn fwy diweddar Government Construction Strategy 2016 – 20. Er y byddai llawer o gynnwys y ddogfen honno’n weithredol yng Nghymru, mae gennym hefyd ein deddfwriaeth Gymreig ein hunain, sef Deddf yr Amgylchedd (Cymru) 2016 a Deddf Llesiant Cenedlaethau’r Dyfodol 2015. Bydd y ddwy ddeddf yma, ynddynt eu hunain, yn dylanwadu’n sylweddol ddiwydiant adeiladu Cymru.
