A joint presentation hosted by the project team, CE Wales and Enabling Zero Waste will give you the opportunity to hear the design stage presentation for the Exemplar programme and will expand on the Exemplar aspects of the project. Menai Science Park Ltd (M-Sparc) is currently developing ambitious plans to establish a Science Park in Gaerwen, some six miles from Bangor. M-Sparc Ltd, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Bangor University, aims to establish the first Science Park in the region offering clean workspace, offices and labs along with open hot desking.
Working in collaboration with the site team the Enabling Zero Waste scheme aims to provide a detailed insight into the achievability of zero waste at present, identifying any barriers to achieving the zero waste to landfill target. Best practice waste solutions and opportunities are disseminated by the EZW team throughout the industry. The aim is to establish if, and how, the construction industry can achieve the zero waste targets established in the Welsh Government's waste strategy, Towards Zero Waste. The results will also help to inform the industry about planning to generate less waste, reusing materials and using more recycled content.
Come along to see how this ground breaking project has used Exemplar techniques during the Design phase to work with the Client to deliver what will be an iconic building to serve the knowledge economy of North Wales for years to come. This £15m D&B Contract excels in the use of BIM and the way it was able to consult and work as a team to develop a project surpasses client expectations.
The team will describe the various different elements that make up the Exemplar aspects of the scheme including:
- Utilising BIM beyond the construction aspects
- Customer satisfaction questionnaires and full 360 reviews
- Waste management and waste as a resource
The team will also describe how collaborative working and the use of the Clerk of Works is producing positive results and the work being done with regards to Community Benefits, Ecology and Sustainability.

Digwyddiad ar y cyd gan Dîm y Prosiect, Adeiladu Arbenigrwydd yng Nghymru (CEW) a Galluogi Dim Gwastraff (EZW), sef cyflwyniad cyfnod dylunio a fydd yn ehangu ar agweddau Rhaglen Enghreifftiol y prosiect hwn.
Mae Menai Science Park Ltd (M-Sparc) ar hyn o bryd yn datblygu cynlluniau cyffrous i sefydlu Parc Gwyddoniaeth yn y Gaerwen, tua chwe milltir o Fangor. Mae M-Sparc Ltd yn is-gwmni ym mherchnogaeth lwyr Prifysgol Bangor. Ei nod yw creu Parc Gwyddoniaeth cyntaf y rhanbarth a fydd yn cynnig gofod gweithio glân, swyddfeydd, labordai a desgiau poeth agored.
Gan weithio mewn partneriaeth â thîm y safle, nod y cynllun Galluogi Dim Gwastraff, yw deall yn well pa mor ymarferol yw peidio cynhyrchu dim gwastraff ac adnabod y rhwystrau rhag cyflawni’r targed o yrru dim gwastraff i’w dirlenwi.

Dewch i weld sut y defnyddiodd y prosiect arloesol hwn dechnegau Enghreifftiol yn ystod y cyfnod dylunio i gydweithio â’r Cleient wrth godi adeilad eiconig a fydd yn gwasanaethu economi wybodaeth Gogledd Cymru am flynyddoedd i ddod.
Ymhlith nodweddion rhagorol y Contract Dylunio ac Adeiladu £15m y mae ei ddefnydd o Fodelu Gwybodaeth am Adeiladu (BIM), a’r ffordd yr ymgynghorwyd a gweithio fel tîm i gyflawni prosiect sydd tu hwnt i ddisgwyliadau’r cleient.
Bydd y tîm yn disgrifio gwahanol elfennau rhagorol y cynllun hwn, yn cynnwys:
- Defnyddio technegau BIM tu hwnt i’r agweddau adeiladu
- Y defnydd o holiaduron bodlonrwydd cwsmeriaid ac adolygiadau 360 llawn
- Rheoli gwastraff a gwastraff fel adnodd
Bydd y tîm hefyd yn disgrifio sut mae cydweithio a defnyddio Clerc Gwaith wedi arwain at ganlyniadau positif, ac yn sôn am agweddau Budd Cymunedol, Ecoleg a Chynaliadwyedd y cynllun.
