We cannot, because as the guardians and champions of the Welsh built environment the construction industry – and that’s clients, suppliers, site workers, designers and engineers and everyone else you can think of – all of us, have a duty of care to create the most sustainable Wales we can.

Building Stock Sustainability Report: Good Work, Keep It Up
Welsh Government has highlighted the role of CEW and says that the construction industry is working well towards making the country’s building stock more sustainable under the provisions of the Sustainable and Secure Buildings Act 2004.

Enabling Zero Waste - Policy into practice
The South Wales Best Practice Club met today in Swansea to hear more about the Constructing Excellence in Wales - Enabling Zero Waste project. CEW is working with four specially selected pilot schemes to identify ways that construction and demolition projects can generate less waste, reuse materials and use more recycled content. The aim is to establish if, and how, the construction industry can achieve the overarching strategy for waste in Wales of zero waste to landfill.
