As you read this our industry has entered the fourth quarter of the year and many of our stakeholders will be reviewing budgets and plans for the next financial year. It can be a testing time for all organisations, both in the private and public sector and it is always very valuable to have a totally clear idea of what the future holds to help with accurate forecasting.

People across North Wales will have the chance to have their say on Horizon Nuclear Power’s proposed new nuclear power station on Anglesey, Wylfa Newydd, as ten weeks of consultation gets underway. 

Llwydd, I publish today our ’Priorities for Wales’ Budget for 2015-16.  This Budget covers the final year of the current Spending Review period and, the last year for which we have a firm settlement.

It is pertinent to be reminded of the impacts of the austere financial context we are governing in.
